After the launch of its flights to Madagascar, Emirates will add more flights to the island nation off the coast of Africa.

From April 2, Emirates will boost its flights to Antananarivo via Mahe, Seychelles from four to six days weekly (daily except Monday). Operating as flights EK707/EK708, the flights will continue to use the airline's Boeing 777 aircraft.

According to Emirates, the Dubai-based airline has seen “strong demand for its passenger services” between the capital city of Madagascar and its hub at Dubai. Strong demand for the inbound flights have come from the UAE, Sri Lanka, France, the UK, mainland China, Japan, Spain, and Italy. From Madagascar, travelers have flown to Dubai, the Seychelles, France, India, Sri Lanka, Italy, and Japan.

“With the current four weekly flights operating at near full capacity, the significant uplift to the number of seats offered on the route will support Madagascar’s efforts to increase visitor arrivals into the country, while also providing more choice and convenience for travellers to plan trips to and from the popular Indian Ocean destination,” Emirates said in a statement.

Emirates first launched flights to Antananarivo in September 2024.
